Code Arena ("we", "us") provides an online compiler for JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python. This policy explains what information we process when you use the site and related services.

Information we process

Code you submit — source sent to run endpoints is processed to execute your program in a sandbox. We do not treat pasted snippets as confidential unless you have a separate agreement with us.
Usage data — with your consent, basic analytics (pages visited, approximate region, device/browser) via providers such as Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights to understand product usage.
Advertising data— if you accept advertising cookies and we enable Google AdSense (or similar partners), those partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where allowed. See Google's advertising policies and How Google uses data for advertising.
Contact messages — if you use the contact form, we receive the details you choose to send (processed via our email/SMTP provider). The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which may collect device and usage data per Google's Privacy Policy.
Technical logs — request metadata and error logs needed to operate and secure the service.
Consent choice — we store your cookie preference in local storage on your device so we can honor analytics/advertising choices.

Advertising & third parties

When advertising is enabled, third parties such as Google may collect or receive information about your visits to this site and other sites to provide ads. You can manage advertising-related preferences through our cookie banner (Essential only vs Accept all) and, for Google personalized ads, through Google's Ad Settings.

We do not place ads next to Run / Share / Copy / Reset controls. Ad units, when present, are intended for content areas such as Learn articles and language guides.

Sharing

We use infrastructure providers (for example Vercel for hosting and sandboxed execution) and, when configured, email and advertising partners. They process data to provide those services. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

Execution requests are processed to fulfill your run and related logs are kept only as long as needed for security, debugging, and legal obligations. Shared snippet links encode content in the URL itself; treat them as public if you distribute them. Advertising and analytics retention is governed by the respective providers' policies.

Your choices

You can stop using the service at any time. Use the cookie banner to accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies (Essential only keeps the site working without those). For privacy questions or requests, contact us via the contact page.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
